whoever says that R and R in the metro costs too much? amazingly, it didn't. i'd proven that when we finally went out of the house and had bonding with my kids at manila last Friday. we went first to Fort Santiago, then to Luneta to see the dancing fountain. it was my first time to see the dancing fountain show and i like it! lalo na yung initial presentation nila, where there's a song sung by regine velasquez about travelling here in our country. well its true...its more fun in the Philippines! =D

rain and summer love books. day and night, they would never go to sleep without it. at home, their books outnumber their toys. i would always say to my mom, rain and summer are maluho when it comes to books. whenever they would ask us to buy new books, we would often oblige. but when it comes to toys, there would always be a condition. =D

maid

i met amy last august. i didn't like her at first because the thought that somebody who's not related to me will be living with me irritated me so much. aside from that, the previous maids that i had were nightmares. i had adjusted well with my housewife role and i think i don't need a maid anymore. so when amy came, i was in a taray mode on her first few days. after awhile, i came to like her. until now....

some days were normal, some days were not and some days seems to be happy because amy is around. magkaroon ka ba naman ng maid na katulad ni amy kundi ka maloka. sample? here we go....

amy: jill, nanay pala ni lotlot de leon si lily monteverde?
jill: hindi ah. pano mo nasabi yun?
amy: kasi ang tawag nya ke lily monteverde, mother lily daw! (bwahaha)

on watching tv
jill: gosh, magulo na naman pala sa basilan...
amy: eh ganun talaga sa ibang bansa jill, magulo. buti pa dito sa pilipinas tahimik lang (ewan ko sayo amy!)

jill: amy anong chart yang niro roll mo? hindi ko malagyan ng label. natandaan mo ba?
amy: oo...body of the parts! (ok, fine!)

o di ba? i'll miss amy talaga kapag nawala sya. she's part of our lives now. sana matagal pa kameng magkasama =D

i was quiet after i read Salma Hayek's statement. it was definitely true. every part of it.


i time traveled through my thoughts. i can still remember when i was just cradling baby rain and baby summer. now, they can run so fast that i can hardly catch them whenever we play tag. sometimes, i would wish that i was just at home back when they were babies like dawn. when i can embrace them soooo tight whenever i want to (well now, rain and summer would say...mom, please let go. i can't breathe...whenever i hug them). 

well, good news is...now, i am always at home. i get to see their firsts and lasts.... =D

thanks ate lhen buenaluz for the advice you gave me last year and for pushing me to go through it. as what sister cheche said last sunday (at church), you can see the rewards just by looking at those medals they have and will be having. =D

prayer

my friends. i miss them. and most of the time, they are the reasons why i always talk to God =D

my angels. new members of the kids choir =D

i saw them sing three sundays ago. initiation =D. happy is an understatement on what i felt. i was a proud mom. hubby allan video them sing while pastor cyril (thanks pastor! =D) took their picture.i watched their video not just ten times that day. i felt contented and rewarded as i watched them.

when we were at batangas, i accidentally deleted their video in the camera. i felt so bad, really bad that until now, hindi na ako nakapag move on. i was even asking allan on how much will it cost me to retrieve a lost video in the camera. well i know that they will still have many songs to sing but hey, the first time matters....

Mom, I want to become a tricycle driver someday. I think it's better than being a janitor (His tito aj, tito lester and tito clark gave him the janitor idea when we went to zambales last year)



On playing plants vs zombies:

When he is about to lose, he would say....Mom told me it's okay to lose. (then I would say: well, we can't always be winners even if we want to. Just try again)



On former President Marcos:

He is tita bab's lolo, mom.... hehe! (When rain was only three years old and we went to Vigan, Bab told him that Marcos is her lolo.)



On anatomy:

Mom: Rain, what is the sound of our heart?

Rain: lubb, dub mom. Why is it like that?

Mom: because .... because... S1, S2....ventricle, auricle, etc....opening, closing...blah,blah! (naman eh!nagmamaganda kasi, hehe)



On investment:

Mom, can we have a car? I want  a green one. (choosy? Green???)



On respect:

Mom, don't shout at lolo. You're not a good example. (tama...when I heard this, I stopped shouting at my daddy, even though it's typical for us,hehe)



On forgetting:

Oh no, mom! You forgot! You're shouting again! (memory gap...)



On anticipation:

He would ask this everyday:

Mom, what day is today? (then he would recite the days that will follow)....Thursday, Friday then Saturday! My candy day! My zombie day! My apple day! (Rain and summer have their candy day every Saturday. Rain is allowed to play the computer for 3 hours every Saturday. Before they eat candy, they have to finish an apple so it's also their apple day. Sunday is a fruit day).



On love life:

Mom, can I marry when I already have a job? When can I have a girlfriend? (gosh!wag muna!)



On saving mother earth:

Don't waste water mom. Remember, mother earth is sick. Father earth will be angry. (ok, fine anak, hehe!)



On cleanliness:

Mom: why are you picking your nose Rain?

Rain: No! I was just tasting it! (kadiri!!!! Shocked ako when I saw this)



On tasting it:

Mom: why are you tasting it???

Rain: because it's yummy! (kaloka! To the highest level na!)



On Dawn/Spring:

Mom: what are you doing with dawn's nose, Rain? Are you.....?

Rain: No mom! I was just tasting it! (yuk!!!!!!! Me panibagong branch si Rain! hehe)
